Rate increase 2009

The Management of Nieuwe Post Nederlandse Antillen NV (NPNA) hereby announces a slight rate increase of some postal products that will come into effect from January 1st, 2009. The increase will take place on the basis of a government approved formula. The formula implies that the postal rates for each of the Regulated products in year 2009 may not be increased by more than 80% of the price index figure. For year 2009 the applied increase is 4.2%. That means, for example, that the current price for sending a local letter of 20 grams will increase by 4 cents (from NAF. 1.06 to NAF. 1.10). Again it should be noted that the rate increase only applies to certain products. A complete list of products with adjusted rates are mentioned below, the rest of the rates remain unchanged. The rates list for all products will be available at all post offices of NPNA from January 1st, 2009 onwards and also on the company website www.npostna.com.
